About you:
You will work with the Site Head Chef/Sous Chef to ensure your unit provides an efficient, effective and consistent service delivery to customers and clients. Assist team members in their duties whilst adhering to company policy and procedure. Perform a variety of manual tasks and other general duties to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen and maintain a high standard of health and safety and food hygiene.
The great things you’ll do:
Responsible for overall cleaning of equipment and kitchen areas
Clean plates and pots as instructed
Assist other members of staff move heavy loads
Ensure your plates and cutlery stations are adequately stocked at all times and the expected look and feel maintained
Ensure that dirty crockery will be collected from various dropping points on each floor
Ensure that the dropping points are being maintained as instructed
Ensure all work areas within your station are clean during and after use and ensure all waste is removed to appropriate areas
Management of kitchen waste
Check deliveries for quality and quantity and store correctly in accordance with company systems
Operate machinery as shown and trained to do so, ensuring that the equipment is used safely and in accordance with current regulations and company policies
Perform any other reasonable duties as required by your manager
Embrace and deliver all aspects of the Client Food Program to an exceptional standard
Work with others to ensure that client and consumer expectations are understood and exceeded
Promote the Food Program to our Client engaging with them through our food choices, displays, space designs while acting as a Compass Advocate at all times
Be polite, professional and friendly at all times with customers, clients and colleagues
Be prepared to assist colleagues in a willing and positive manner including assisting with other duties as required
Take the opportunity to continuously learn and grow
Encourage fresh thinking and initiative in the team
Encourage feedback and suggestions for improvement
Work with the chef teams in ensuring best kitchen practice
Think of ways to make the work environment fun and team driven
Observe and comply with all company and unit procedures relating to safety and security, reporting any issues to your line manager
Take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or what you fail to do
Correctly use work equipment, personal protective equipment in accordance with training and instructions provided, reporting any equipment issues to your line manager
